How Auto-Attachment Works

Upload All Files at Once

Contract + 10 receipt files in one batch. Don't separate "invoice files" vs "attachments". Just dump everything together.

Toggle ON: "Attach receipts to invoice"

This toggle (next to "Generate PDF" button) controls receipt attachment. Default: ON. Leave it on to include receipts in the PDF.

AI Appends Receipts to PDF

Generated PDF structure:

  • Page 1: Invoice with "Reimbursable Expenses" section
  • Page 2: First receipt image (Uber)
  • Page 3: Second receipt (flight confirmation)
  • Page 4-N: Remaining receipts (one per page)

What Formats Work as Attachments?

Images

PNG, JPG, HEIC photos—converted to PDF page, scaled to fit invoice width

PDFs

Receipt PDFs converted to images first, then attached (consistent formatting)

Screenshots

Email screenshots, app screenshots—treated as images, attached as PDF pages

When to Turn OFF Receipt Attachment

Toggle "Attach receipts" to OFF if:

  • • You only need the itemized expense list (not original receipts)
  • • Client doesn't require receipt proof
  • • You'll send receipts separately (rare)
  • • You want a smaller PDF file size (invoice-only is faster to email)

Default: ON (most consultants attach receipts for client approval/accounting)
